Unit testing support [message #2381] Mon, 27 August 2007 19:15 Go to next message

Hi,

I need not see any mention of unit testing (or testing in general) in the
IMP proposal but I feel that it is within the scope of this project.

If anyone is interested, maybe you can add your input to bug
#180884 (Generic unit testing framework).
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=180884

Thank you. :)

Regards,
Rem

Hi,

as you can see in the bug report I'm really interested to bring
something like a generic unit test support to the Eclipse IDE.

If you need additional contributors on that subcomponent, just tell me
and maybe I can find the time to do some work in the area.

You're right that this would be very interesting/important area to
explore, and probably would be in scope. Testing isn't my research
area, but if we can get a few folks to pitch in with ideas and code
contributions, I see no reason why IMP can't address this too.

If you already have specific IMP-related ideas in this vein, can you
elaborate a bit here?
