You're right that this would be very interesting/important area to
explore, and probably would be in scope. Testing isn't my research
area, but if we can get a few folks to pitch in with ideas and code
contributions, I see no reason why IMP can't address this too.
If you already have specific IMP-related ideas in this vein, can you
elaborate a bit here?

Hi,
as you can see in the bug report I'm really interested to bring
something like a generic unit test support to the Eclipse IDE.
If you need additional contributors on that subcomponent, just tell me
and maybe I can find the time to do some work in the area.
