Hi,

It used to be that when I inserted an opening bracket,
the Java editor automatically inserted a closing bracket too.
Then I got a crash, and after I restarted eclipse,
this does not work anymore.

How can I activate this again?

OS: Linux RH9
Eclipse: 2.1 (linux GTK)
JDK: 1.4.1

thanks
x

The preference for smart braces is in Preferences->Java->Editor->Typing Tab:
Close Braces.

Not sure whether turning it off and on again will fix it after the crash
though.
