I don't have Eclipse running on SP2, but did try to completely switch off
the firewall with SP2 installed? Did it make a difference? Normally the
firewall blocks only outgoing connections AFAIK, but it still might
interfere with network comm in ways that prevent SSH from working
correctly. Just an idea.

What about ssh, did you check it standalone, i.e. tried to open a
connection from the command prompt? You can enable tracing to console
with "ssh -vvv" to see what happens.
