Hi,
sometimes a transformation cannot be fully specified, because additional
information is needed from the modeler. Therefore it is necessary to ask
the modeler during transformation about the missing information.
Is this scenario covered by any mechanism in ATL or are there any
concepts to add it in the future?
Thanks in advance.

Using ATL, it is voluntarily not possible to provide some additional
information during the effective execution of a transformation.
The recommended (and usual) practice in ATL is to break up your overall
transformation in several steps (i.e. several intermediate
transformations). By this way and by using XML models as additional
inputs of your transformations (as explained by Albin), you can allow
the modeler to intervene at some well-determined moments during the
whole transformation chain.
