Java files not getting compiled. Eclipse 3.0 [message #259470] Thu, 08 July 2004 05:19 Go to next message

Hi,

I am using Eclipse 3.0. I have a project with src and bin folders. When
I save the java file, it used to be compiled and the class file copied
to bin folder. But all of a sudden, it stopped working. I haven't made
any setting changes.

Where can I enable the autobuild for the java files? Is thr any way to
manually compile each file?

Thanks in advance.

/
Ravi.

I had similar problems when I used the Sysdeo tomcat plug-in. I solved
this by removing a line from the Project's Java build path (at the moment
I don't recall the line I removed ...).

Otherwise the R3 has worked perfectly !! :)

realised the this automatic compiling stopped working after the plugin
is installed.

just let me know in case u remember the changes you have done for this
to work.

Thanx

Make sure you have the latest Sysdeo plugin version (3.0 beta?) There's bug
in older versions of Sysdeo that adds TOMCAT_HOME to the build path.

Also, see this bug:

Hi,

As 'G Longman' already posted, you need to remove the "TOMCAT_HOME" line
from your Java Build Path (see Project's properties). After this, all
works as they supposed to do.

This extra line affected only in the current project. Other projects were
OK ... atleast on my computer.

Haven't tested the Sysdeo 3 version yet (it wasn't available at the moment
I installed the Eclipse R3).
