a) CDT bundle should not include Ant jars unless JDT is included.

So, if it's omitted from the CDT bundle, then this too is a bug...

b) Ant should be available from update sites as separate installable
feature (and able to resolve and download JDT dependencies).

If you agree with either of these, please open a bug (or two).
