Using command line options for Eclipse methods [message #256555] Fri, 16 May 2008 21:22 Go to next message

Can anyone out there give me pointers on how to execute Eclipse actions
via the command line? I'm working on migrating some automation tools that
currently rely on the Altium/Tasking EDE, over to Eclipse. These tools
simply need to add files to a project, delete files from a project, and
initiate a build. Is this possible without using the Eclipse GUI directly?

Tasking has already implemented the plug-in support for their compiler
toolchain in Eclipse. I just need to know how I can get to portions of it
outside of requiring a user bringing up the Eclipse GUI itself.

Any and all help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tim,

You'll probably want to find some documentation about running a headless
Eclipse application. Searching the site will likely find it.
