Hi all,

I use to work with BIRT 2.2 within Eclipse 3.3 (Europa) on windows XP. No
problems. I got the chance to try it on Ubuntu Linux as well.

I didnt make use of the Ubuntu repositories / Synaptic; I used the simple
but in this case better way: standalone version eclipse-java-europa-linux-
gtk.tar.gz, made sure all dependencies were available i.e. Java runtime
environments etc etc.... and finally I installed birt-report-
framework-2_2_0.zip (being platform independent this should be the right
zip to unzip into the plugins folder)

But whatever I try, i cannot make the reporting perspektive visible. Also
file>new>other>other: no birt entry. I checked the faq: given solution
doesn't apply.

Anyone?
