Javadoc validation [message #255497] Mon, 05 May 2008 13:21 Go to next message

Hi,

Today I generated the Javadocs for my project. As a result I have
countless errors (50) and warnings (458). I searched the Internet on
'eclipse html error', and in the end on 'eclipse validation', and found
out I should unselect "HTML Syntax Validator" in my Preferences ->
Validation. I did that, but found out the errors and warnings stay.

What can I do so these HTML type problems are not shown in my Eclipse?

Abel

Abel,

I'm not sure if cleaning the project will get rid of them. Have you
tried that? I've added the WTP newsgroup to the "to" list of the reply,
since I think this function is coming from there.

This is a known problem, and should be corrected with Eclipse 3.4M7 and
Web Tools 3.0. You have the ability to select and exclude certain
files from validation with Web Tools 3.0. Also, the Platform has added
the ability to get rid of the extraneous error markers as well.

Hi Ed and David,

Thanks for your reply. I will wait for the production release. In the
mean time I know there is nothing I can do (except close the project).

Abel.
