Define steps in a new task descriptor [message #24789] Tue, 28 November 2006 06:30 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Dear all,

When defining a delivery process, I have added a new task descriptor but
it is impossible to define new steps as done in the method content. I this
a bug or is a policy when defining a delivery process.

Thank you in advance.

Regads,

Aitor.

Steps for that new task descriptor will only be added if that task
descriptor's linked task has any steps associated with it. Most likely, in
your case, either there is no task associated with task descriptor OR
there are no available steps for that task. It's misleading since the
"Add" button is not disabled. There is a bug for that to disable the "Add"
button https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=164032

I recorded a demo on how to add steps to task from a plug-in. Once you have
done that you can use these extended tasks for your processes. Check it out
here: http://www.eclipse.org/epf/general/epfc-mc.exe. There is also a
general into to EPFC here: http://www.eclipse.org/epf/general/epfc-ovu.exe

These recordings, although somewhat large, are very useful. Thanks for
letting us know about them, and I look forward to the others to come.
