The cheat sheet mechanism seems to inherently remember and reflect the
progress made.

I want to use a cheat sheet for capturing workflow steps but without
implying that each step is taken sequently once to get to the goal.
Perhaps this is stretching the intent of the cheat sheet feature, is it?

You can at least set the "skip" flag for certain steps that are only
optional.
