Hi Ed,
I guess the answer is "sort of." Using the connectivity components, you
can persist whatever you'd like to a database. Unfortunately, we currently
don't have components that would help more than that. There are a couple
of ORM initiatives in the Technology PMC: We've suggested to these groups
that a common ORM framework (independent of specifics such as EJB 3) makes
sense for inclusion in DTP, but we have not received any proposals in this
area to date. If we had such a generic ORM framework, then perhaps tooling
that automatically handles arbitrary EObjects could be built with it (and
that would be a great component for DTP as well).
Maybe as DTP gets the core frameworks and tools in place we'll be able to
find support for such capabilities.

Hi Ed,
