How do I limit where I search... [message #22705] Tue, 01 February 2005 19:23

I am using Windriver Workbench which includes all the eclipse
infrastructure and builds on top of it a bunch of functionality provided
by Windriver.

Here is what I want to do :

When I perform a search, I want to exclude several directories and several
files. I want to do that for the current project and all subsequent
projects I create. Does anyone know of an easy way to do this?

I was hoping there would be a configuration menu similar to the "Ignored
resources" for the CVS plugin but I can't seem to find an easy way to do
this.

Why do I want to do this?
Because our directory tree looks something like this :

Directory1
|___SubDirA
|___SubDirB
|___...
|___SubDirZ
Directory2
|___SubDirA
|___SubDirB
|___...
|___SubDirZ
...
Directory99
|___SubDirA
|___SubDirB
|___...
|___SubDirZ

If I want to exclude SubDirA, SubDirB etc from all the directories when I
am doing a search, you could see how creating a working set for every new
project becomes a bit of a pain.

Any help would be appreciated.
