Hi,

Is there a project homepage for the Phoenix project?

Not yet. This typically does not happen until after the project passes its
creation review.

Ok, the reason I asked was that I've been trying to find some way of
contributing to Eclipse and thought that perhaps there were some part in
this that I could play. That is actually another thing that has irritated
me about eclipse.org, it is hard to find good information on how to
contribute.

We are definitely looking for contributors for this project. Do you have a
specific area of interest or expertise you would like to help in?

I'm most definitely very interested in user interfaces and usability,
though I have no formal education in that area. I feel that I'm good at
making things less complex. A typical scenario at my previous job, where I
worked as a software engineer, was that the other engineers would come up
with some intricate plan to add all kinds of nifty features to our
product. I would almost always object and try to make them understand that
it was more important (in my opinion) to make it simpler to use instead.

Besides java-programming I also wrote a lot of user documentation for our
products, but this is perhaps a moot point since English is not my native
language. Even though I wrote the documentation in English, there are
probably other people better verbally equipped to write for you.

I would happily do reviews for example. If you have any ideas or
suggestions for me, I'm all ears. My time is of course limited somewhat,
but I guess that's a given for all volunteers.

martin

There's not much there now, but it's a start. Feel free to contribute
