Hi Brendan--
1) I'm not sure what we're able to offer on this in terms of explicit
instruction (I'll look into it), but I can say that what you need to do is
create two additional Eclipse plugin projects, one for the runtime component
and one for the UI functionality. The hardest part of this (for me, anyway)
is the Eclipse-specific stuff, not the openVXML coding. Again, I'll see
what I can get for you.
2 & 3) Yes, the source code is available from Eclipse's development site. A
good starting point for this is
http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Development_Resources
What you're looking for is the VTP project, so if you were going to use SVN
to grab the source, you'd use this link:
http://dev.eclipse.org/svnroot/technology/org.eclipse.vtp/
And yes, openVXML was donated to eclipse and is now the bulk of the Voice
Tools Project. There are some proprietary (read: for sale) add-ons which we
offer (mainly concerned with some advanced reporting functionality and
enterprise-level application and server management), but the core
functionality exists in the publically accessible VTP repository.
