Hi,
I just downloaded birt-designer-1.0M1.zip for the tutorial. I have
followed all instructions and eventually managed to installed it. However
when I get into the tutorial I encountered this problems in Eclipse:
1) The list/table "table1" must be able to access one data set
2) The value of the property "keyExpr" is required
Did I missing something? It occured after I created a new report by
clicking on File -> New -> Report in Eclipse.
Thanks.

Ed,
I tried out the tutorial steps using the S20050314 stable build, and it
worked for me. Did the error appear in the Problems view? By default, this
view shows problems for all reports (indeed, all files, including Java
files) in all open projects. Perhaps there is another report in your project
that is missing some information.
The error messages suggest that you have a table with one grouping level,
but that the table is not yet bound to a data set, and the group key is not
yet set. However, these tasks should be done as you follow the tutorial
steps to add columns to the report, and as you edit the groups. That's why I
wonder if the errors are coming from a different report file.
If, after this, you still have problems, please send me your design file and
I'll figure out what's wrong. Perhaps there is something amis with this
design file, or perhaps there is a bug in the software.
