Alex, did you check Bugzilla for your needs? I'm not sure if I fully
understand what you want, but this one may be interesting:

As of today, the Terminal doesn't yet have public API for plugging in
much custom stuff other than a custom terminal connector. But we're open
for suggestions (and even more open for patches if we agree on the right
thing to do). I'd suggest you create a bugzilla enhancement request,
and we continue discussions there (it's better to search and reference
on bugzilla).
