postgres driver definitions? [message #19296] Mon, 10 July 2006 18:44 Go to next message

Hi,

I'm not a regular reader of this newsgroup, so apologies in advance if
this is a faq entry or something.

I would like to setup a driver definition for postgres database
(v8.1.3). Does such a driver definition exist somewhere already? If
so, where?

Can this be added to the built-in list through some dtp configuration, etc?

Thanksinadvance,

Scott

Hi Scott:

The following Wiki pages might help here:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/How_Do_I_Connect_to...

Regarding creating a Postgres driver template, we have some documentation
at:

http://www.eclipse.org/datatools/project_connectivity/connec tivity_doc/DTPConnectivityFrameworkDevelopersQSGuide.htm

Technical detail: Make sure the link below

http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/How_Do_I_Connect_to...

includes the three dots at the end -- it is part of the Wiki page name. If
you get a message saying "no content," then the link has not resolved
correctly. Alternatively, you can get to the page from the main DTP Wiki
page:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Data_Tools_Platform_Projec t

under the "General Information" section.
