In many forums i have found a link to an article about using birt with
hibernate: http://www.itmanagersjournal.com/index.php/articles/192
this article is not longer avaliable... any other resource exists?

I need to use the birt engine in my own application to generate from a data
retrieved with hibernate, or alternatively from a xml source that represents
the same data, a PDF/HTML report.

Any resource for start with my work? As example how it's possible to use
birt functionalities from an external application...
