E.g. I want to use datetime values for scaling the x axis but I want to give
them labels like Monday Tuesday, ...

my database table looks like:

Date | Day | cnt
-----------------------------------
2006-08-28 | Monday | 12
2006-08-31 | Thursday | 3
2006-09-01 | Friday | 10
