Callisto RC1 is a great release and includes BIRT 2.1 from a nightly build.
the problems with BIRT doc for this release:
1) BIRT doc is not in the distribution
2) Eclipse software updates won't find the doc
3) Eclipse find and install new features won't install the doc from your
local repository if you download the BIRT sdk for 2.1
My workaround:
1> download the BIRT sdk for 2.1 which includes the doc folder
2> extract the zip file to a local folder somewhere
3> copy the folder org.eclipse.birt.doc_2.1.0.N20060415-1243 from the
Eclipse plugins folder in your local folder
to: the folder where you are running the eclipse plugins from:
I installed eclipse into c:\java\ecl32w so I copied the doc folder to:
c:\java\ecl32w\plugins
4> restarted Eclipse and accessed help - the BIRT developer guide for 2.0.0
is now locally installed
