Mindmap example [message #151551] Wed, 19 September 2007 04:23 Go to next message

I am new to GMF and trying to follow the mindmap application using hte
cheat sheet. I made it through and everything builds fine, but when I
run it I see that my .mindmap files open with the EMF editor instead of
the new GMF editor.

Any suggestions?

Hi Dennis,

The created EMF files do in fact open with the EMF editor; this is an
expected behavior. If you create the Mindmap diagram (or initialize one
from an existing EMF file), an additional file (by default it should be
..mindmap_diagram, but may also be .mmd, if it is specified so in your
mindmap.gmfgen file) will be created. Opening it will bring up the
diagram editor.

Best regards,
Boris

Thanks for the replay. That got me a little further.

I think it is the gmf editor that is not getting loaded for some reason.
If I do File->New I do not see the example option as I am supposed
to. I tried looking in the Error Log but no error were logged.

If I do Help->About->Plugins I see
org.eclipse.gmf.graphdef.edit,
org.eclipse.gmf.examples.mindmap.tests,
org.eclipse.gmf.examples.mindmap.edit and
org.eclipse.gmf.examples.mindmap.editor.

Do you think I am missing a plugin for this sample app?

Thanks,
Dennis
