Hi,

I have two models A and B. In diagram A, I created a shortcut to an element
b of B.
Now I want to create a connection from an element a to b, but when hovering
above Element b while drawing the connection, nothing happens. Not even a
canExecute() method is called.

Is it actually possible to create links to shortcuts of elements from
different models?

Thanks in advance, Stefan

Hello Stefan,

It's a current limitation of GMF - you can only create links between shortcuts
to the elements from the diagam of same type.

Okay. However, this would be a really great feature and a prerequisite
to build modular domain-specific languages. Hope it will be possible one
time.

Hello Stefan,

Then file a request for it! :-)
