When I open up my project, I get this error:

"A class file was not written. The project may be inconsistent, if so
try refreshing this project and rebuilding it."

Any idea why? I've recently installed and set up CVS on my system. None
of the files are read-only.

Thanks in advance!

This message says that either you or some builder changed or created
files which are in the workspace without using Eclipse (API).
