What do you want to do with Eclipse?

If you want to develop Java GUI's using Swing or SWT, you should
download the Visual Editor. If you want to develop Web sites, Servlets,
JSPs, J2EE, etc, look at the Webtools project -
http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/ If you want to develop C/C++ look at
the CDT project.

Eclipse has many projects - you need to decide what to download based on
what you want to do.
