Hi,

It seems like the indexer is doing a full "rebuild" every time I start
Eclipse. It is quite annoying since it takes at least 30 minutes.

Has any one else seen this? Any hints on where I can look to find out why
this occurs (I've just started to use CDT)??

/Anders

Hi Anders -

There is a bug for this (Bug# 91145 ) - but we're having a tough time
reproducing it all times. If you could add the exact steps you took to
create
your project (ie. Went to Project Wizrard->Selected Standard C++
Project->Selected DOM Indexer->Checked Index enabled etc.) that might
help us track this down.

Thanks,
Bogdan

Could this possibly be related to the platform bug I came across here?:

It sounds different from Bug 91145, but may be the cause of Anders's
issue (however, I know nothing about the internals of the CDT's indexer).

It should be fixed in the latest integration builds - I think. You may
want to check it out and see if this is what causing the indexer to
re-index everything.

Mark.

I don't remeber exactly how I did it. I followed a tutorial on the CDT web
page, and I do remember that it told me to not check the indexer while
creating the project (in the tutorial the indexer was enabled later), but
I did any way.

One thing I noticed now is that I'm using the "Original C/C++ Indexer"
(the project was created with CDT 2.1). Should I switch to the DOM
indexer??

/Anders

Do not switch to the DOM Indexer until at least M7.
Thanks
