Hi,

I see the error message in the subject when I try to do an "compare with
...." against an CVS 1.11.5 on a Solaris 9 Sparc.
It ran fine against CVS 1.11.1p1 on Linux

The log file says:
"!ENTRY org.eclipse.team.cvs.ui 4 0 Feb 16, 2004 10:56:25.765
!MESSAGE The server did not provide any additional information.
!STACK 1

I have the problem both with Eclipse 2.1.2 and Eclipse 3.0 M7.
I found a bug on eclipse.org that there are problems with CVS servers in
Eclipse 2.1.x but not in the 3.0 stream. So it can't be this problem,
can it?

Does anyone have an advice?

Christoph

I found the error.
I copied my cvs repository from one machine to another and forgot to
adjust the file permissions for the repository on the new machine.

No error with the cvs version or eclipse, sorry.
