Problems installing CDT 1.2.1 [message #131342]

Hello,

I'm re-posting this message to this tread as the question is more about the
problem with CDT then with Eclipse.

I'm trying to install CDT 1.2.1 on Eclipse 2.1 I'm doing this
because I'm using QNX and as you know Eclipse 3 is not supported for QNX.

I've downloaded the following accumulative version of CDT from here
( http://update.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/updates/release/dist/cdt -1.2.1.zip)

I've unpacked it to the "/" directory and found 2 folders "features" and
"plugins"

I've moved them to "/opt/share/eclipse/plugins" - where I have all my
eclipse files.

However when I start eclipse I see pending configuration changes (see
attached
screenshot as it contains all debug info I have right now)

Can you please help me as I though that i've downloaded everything I need in
order to run CDT plug-in in eclipse

I think your problem is that the "features" folder you got out of your
zip needs to go on top of /opt/share/eclipse/features.

So the end result is something like:
/opt/share/eclipse/features/org.eclipse.cdt.*
/opt/share/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.cdt.*

Could this be a permission problem? i.e. In my Linux if the normal user has
no read permission to the files.
