Are you an Eclipse SWT/RCP developer? Do you have a strong interest
and/or successful experience using agile practices, such as TDD,
refactoring, short-iterations, user stories?
Obtiva is a boutique training and software development shop,
located in Wheaton, IL, that specializes in helping teams successfully
implement projects through training courses, coaching, and
implementation. We bring our agile practices with
us to every project!
In addition, we are one of the largest independent Eclipse SWT/RCP
development shops in the country, with multiple projects in progress.
We are currently hiring full-time or contract developers to work with
one of our Eclipse SWT/RCP teams. Your initial assignment, based on your
experience and skills, may have you:
- implementing Eclipse RCP projects,
- coaching teams in Eclipse RCP best practices,
- teaching Eclipse RCP training courses.
We currently have two multi-developer Eclipse RCP projects with
openings. The first involves implementing a control panel for a utility
and ISP grid computing solution. The
other project involves writing a proprietary programming language IDE
for programming and controlling industrial robots.
Minimum qualifications
- Strong Java and SWT/RCP skills, at least 3 years of Java and 1 year of
SWT/RCP.
- Test-driven development with JUnit, JMock, and other frameworks is
highly desired. If
you are an exceptional candidate without these skills, this is your
opportunity to add these
to your toolbox.
- A strong desire to work with other highly-skilled software developers
while solving
tough problems.
Apply via email at jobs@obtiva.com.
