I installed the Visual Editor and started Eclipse.

But how do I launch the VE? I searched for a VE perspective, but there is
none.

So how to use it?

We deliberate didn't create our own perspective, because we view the Visual
Editor as being a supercharged way of editing Java rather than a whole new
way. In the Java perpsective from the C in the toolbar with the drop down
list select Visual Class, or use File=>New=>Visual Class. This creates a
regular .java file except that the Visual Editor is used which is 1/2 visual
at the top and 1/2 embedded Java at the bottom. There are some viewlet demos
at http://www.eclipse.org/vep/ and follow the link to Documents. Having
closed a file down to re-open it just double click it(Eclipse remembers the
last editor used as the default) or else use Open With=>Visual Editor from
the pop-up.

Best regards,

Joe
