CDT on Linux: no project view [message #119916]

I installed the actual version of eclipse on my SuSE Linux 9.3 and added
the CDT 3.0.2 using the update manager. When I now select the C/C++
perspective and activate the "C/C++ Projects" view, it can't be loaded.
error: loading of the project view failed.

Any idea what the problem could be?
