Eclipse oprofile on AMD64 [message #10414] Mon, 14 March 2005 19:11

Hi,
I have Eclipse working on my AMD64 machine. I can create, build, run and
debug a 64 bit C/C++ application. I tried installing eclipse-oprofile to
test profiling. This does not seem to work.

I get the following message when I try to open "Profiling perspective"
under "Windows->Open perspective".
Problems opening perspective org.eclipse.cdt.oprofile.ui.perspective.
Also I do not see a profile button show up in the main Run menu inside the
C/C++ perspective like it does for Java applications in the Java
perspective.

Is Eclipse oprofile supported on AMD64. Is a seperate port needed?
Why is Eclipse oprofile not integrated with TPTP. SInce TPTP contains Java
profiling infrastructure, one would naturally assume that the C/C++
profiling
also be intergrated in there.

If this is not the right place to be posting Eclipse-oprofile questions,
can someone please direct me to the appropriate newsgroup?

Thanks,
