Do ELs work in the webtools environment?

I put <c:out value="${1 + 2 + 3}"/> in a JSP and got ${1 + 2 + 3} as
output. I am running Tomcat 5.5.9 with the 1.1.2 taglibs and WTP 1.04M
on Eclipse 3.1M6.

Not currently, but we hope to have it contributed in time for M5.
It is being worked on.
