Hello there!

I downloaded the newest Eclipse 3.1 Version and installed the newest VE
version, but I always get the Error

An internal error occurred during: "Create Remote VM for Visual Editor
for Java".

Then I downloaded the Eclipse 3.1RC2 and installed the VE using the
"Find and Install" Feature. Still the same problem.
Even an upgrade from jre1.5.0_02 to _04 or 1.4.2_08 made no difference.

Version Details:
Eclipse 3.1.0, Build I20050610-1757
VE 1.0.1 200409191449
and those are not working as I said above.

So what is a working version combination? And how can I download these
particular versions?

Thx in advance!

Best regards,
Hauke

The newest version is not a released version and is not available yet
through update manager. Please use the download zip version from the ve
download page. You will need the I20050630 driver of ve to work with
Eclipse 3.1 SDK released. Also make sure you get the correct versions of
EMf and GEF as outlined on the VE download page.

Thanks,
