Hello. I installed Eclipse 2.1 from a download a week ago. I have
written a lot of trivial tests in Java. All worked well. I downloaded the
c++ plugin, installed the features and plugins, ran eclipse -initialize
(on Red Hat 9.0 with Java sdk 1.4.2, JAVA_HOME and ANT_HOME all
working)and after trying out the c++ plugin the java runtime cannot be
found. I removed eclipse, and started again, and same success (or lack of
it: great until the configuration file was changed by installing the c++
plugin). What am I doing wrong, please?

I have installed the motif version of eclipse, and my problem has been
removed. C++ plugin works, Java still works, slickedit editor works, and I
am removing the gtk version of eclipse from my box. This is a pity,
really, because the look of eclipse under gtk was better, in my opinion.
It just didn't run java after the c++ plug-in had been used. Other people
must be having this problem.
