Of course backwards compatibility with existing projects is a priority
for Eclipse 3.1. I mean, thousands of people have been using the
milestones of 3.1, so it must work with existing projects, right?...
For someone to help figure out what went wrong in your attempt, you'll
have to provide more details about what you did and what the results
were. It also would help to search/browse through past messages in these
groups (if you haven't already done so) to find related discussions.
