PDF "File is already open" error [message #78020] |

I am running BIRT within the Spring Framework. I create a report in a
PDF. This works fine; however, if I go to view the report using my Adobe
Reader, I get an error that the file is already open or in use by another
application. As soon as I kill my application then I can open the
document.
It appears as though a file resource is not being freed when the engine is
destroyed. Any thoughts on how to make sure that these resources are
freed? All of our report generation is in the background and therefore,
we don't use any of the built in viewers. We are emailing reports, but
our programs can't delete them since there is some other resource holding
the file.
Any help would be appreciated.
