At EclipseCon last week there was a flurry of introductions, and I expect
that the community will see WTP, BIRT, and DTP working toward a data tooling
platform that makes sense for those projects, and the community as a whole.

Webtools project and DTP is already working closely together, so it will
be very close relationship. Of course we are in the very beginning, DTP
is just starting.
Our goal is to provide Eclipse community with the best breed of data and
database tools. IMHO - we must provide single, rock solid and stable
basement for data-related tools and that is the most important goal for DTP.
