Hello -

I just installed VE, and I am having trouble creating visual classes. My
configuration is as follows...

1. Mac OS 10.3.7.
2. Eclipse SDK 3.0.1
3. GEF 3.0.1
4. EMF 2.0.1

When I select New->Visual Class, then go ahead and fill out the wizard
then hit 'Finish' I get the following error :

"Creation of Element Failed - See Error Log for Details"

The Error Log will show either of the following error:

"SyntaxError: The type java.lang.Object cannot be resolved. It is
indirectly referenced from required .class files"

from the org.eclipse.ve.java.core plug-in followed immediately by an
internal error from org.eclipse.jdt.ui plug-in, which I assume results
directly from the first error. I'm not sure what is wrong - any
suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards,
Chris Marth

Hi Chris,

The VE is not officially supported on OS X yet. Initial support has
been made, but you must run VE 1.0.2 on Eclipse SDK 3.1 M3 or later.

Good luck!
