Department Description:
The Process Applications team is one of the core development groups within
webMethods, encompassing our BPM, Workflow, and Portal technologies. The
current focus of this team is providing a seamless development and runtime
environment for integrated process-based applications.
The team is currently creating an Eclipse-plugin-based tool for process
design based on the BPMN standard. We are seeking developers experienced
in building tools on the Eclipse platform who share our passion for
building high quality software products.
Detailed Job Description:
Define requirements and functional design for new Eclipse plugin projects.
Design and develop software according to those requirements, with a focus
on Eclipse client-side GUI development
Perform advanced unit, system and platform testing and bug resolution
assuring high quality.
Write detailed functional, design and user documentation for the project.
Provide technical guidance and direction to other team members.
Research new technology or development tools to remain abreast of current
and emerging technology.
Job Requirements
Minimum 1-year experience in developing specific product plug-ins for
Eclipse.
Expert knowledge of Java and strong Object-oriented development skills.
Preference will be given to those with at least three to five years of
experience in Java development.
Experience with Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF), Graphical Editor
Framework (GEF) a plus.
Well versed in W3C standards (HTML, SVG, XML, etc)
Experience with BPEL, BPMN a plus.
Experience in development paradigms and frameworks such as MVC.
Advanced technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design
and implementation
In-depth understanding of entire development process, including
specification, documentation, and quality assurance
Advanced understanding of computer science tools, methods, platforms and
operating systems.
