Since the IAM proposal was submitted, it has created around it a diverse
community with very active members. It has also demonstrated capable of
integrating new contributors and a will from third parties to collaborate
in this maven-eclipse integration project.
An example of this are q4e's most active committers.
- Carlos Sanchez and Erle Mantos were present since the project
inception and continue to work on it from their positions in Exist.
- I joined q4e a while later, after trying to leverage existing maven
integration plug-ins to build Eclipse support for AppFuse. This was while
working for Pragsis Technologies. I continue to contribute to q4e while
working for Berggi.
- Jake Pezaro became a committer after contributing the dependency
analysis support in q4e. This was a response to his real-world needs while
working on a gaming company in Gibraltar with projects containing hundreds
of dependencies.
- Michael Poindexter was the last committer to join q4e so far. He's
been contributing enhancements to q4e, mainly the incremental builder,
after having selected it for his development at Qumu Inc.
The door is open for new contributors. We want to apply q4e's open model
in the IAM proposal, helping adopters to become contributors and, from
there, committers.
