We have our launch prfiles under source control and Im looking to also VC
and to share out the Filter sets. Im seeing a line added to the launch
profiles such as

<stringAttribute key="org.eclipse.hyades.trace.ui.ATTR_PROFILING_SET"
value="New Profiling Set1145383182645"/>

and

<stringAttribute key="org.eclipse.hyades.trace.ui.ATTR_FILTER_SET"
value="org.eclipse.hyades.trace.ui.Subscription1145414654710 "/>

I cant seem to locate how they are stored and shared out when I select
other launch profiles and navigate to the Profile tab.

Take a look at ProfilingSetsManager under the plug-in
org.eclipse.hyades.trace.ui
If you're using TPTP 4.2i2+, then you might find the following document
