Hi,

it often happens that trying to generate the gmfgen model from inside
the mapping definition gives a nice and informative popup window "An
internal Error occured during "Create generator model..."

Is there a way to find out more about what kind of Internal Error
occured, or a major modeling mistake that causes this Message to occur?

Thanks,

Felix

Hi Felix,

Please check 'Error Log' view for further details.
This might be caused by invalid gmfmap model and should be reported as
validation diagnostics.

Thanks for the tip with the log, i could have found out this myself..
The error I get is something like:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Can't find genFeature for feature
'blabla' in class Field. I think the error occurs when doing the
following workflow:

- change the domain model.
- open the gmfmap model and adapt changes in the domain model. It looks
like i do not have to reload any resources or so, since domain model
changes are directly available in the gmfmap editor. The Error however
makes me think it might be necessary to somehow refresh the gmfmap model?

Thanks, felix

Hi Felix,

Looks like your .genmodel is not in sync with your .ecore.
Please, try to run 'Reload' action on .genmodel.

BTW: Also try searching this newsgroup for 'Can't find GenFeature' ;-)
