There is so much work left to actually do the build right... Oisin did a

The other connections have recognizable patterns. We just allowed two
bend points, and we found a way to record their position changes.
For the associations, it's a bit more tedious.
It's very difficult to have an algorithm that detects successfully
collisions and make connections look good. It ends up consuming quite a
lot of resources, and is error prone.
I tend to think that bugzilla is a good tickler for action items though.
So please feel free to file an enhancement request. I won't be able to
address it before long though.
