Hi!

I think there is something wrong with the new
birt-report-framework-1_0_1.zip from 05 Aug 2005.

I tried to extract it with WinZip 9.0, WinRAR and the built in WinXP zip
functionality.

Winzip says:

skipping file: unable to create a sensible filename out of
C:\birt-report-framework-1_0_1\eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.b irt.doc_1.0.1\Samples\org.eclipse.birt.sample.reportitem.rot atedtext_1.0.1\src\org\eclipse\birt\sample\reportitem\rotate dtext\RotatedTextItemFactoryImpl.java

for several files. WinRAR says somthing like "System can't find the Path"
for the same files.

Worst of all is the built in Windows XP zip functionality.

With "Extract All" it only tells that a Password is required but if I try to
copy the folder directly out of the zip file, then several files are omitted
without an error message.

Really dangerous for existing installations because only half of the files
are updated correctly.

I tried different download mirrors with different systems. All the same.

Does anybody have the same problem...

Roger

P.S. Sorry for the rather bad English.

OK, first think... then write.

The problem was, that I downloaded the zip file to my desktop and tried to
extract it
from there. But from there the full path names are longer than 256
characters. That caused the problem.
It worked fine after I moved the zip file to c:\

So... everything is all right with to zip file, sorry!
