Just to let everyone aware that the Creation Review for the project was not scheduled for the Oct24-Dec1 period. The reason for this is the trademark check for the project name.

The OSGi word is controlled by the OSGi Alliance and the Eclipse Foundation needs to get approval to use the word "OSGi" in the project name. We will have to wait for this approval before officially creating the project.

Just to give an update on this issue.

The OSGi Alliance rejected the use of the name "OSGi Enterprise Tools", because it violates the OSGi Trademark Policy.

We are currently proposing new name - "Enterprise Tools for OSGi(tm) Service Platform", which should be OK. However, the next meeting of the OSGi Board, where they will take a look on our request, is on 11 Jan 2011. We have to wait until then.

In the meantime, the Eclipse IP team is running the trademark check for the short name "Libra".

"Libra" is approved for name of the project.
The Creation Review is scheduled for 5-12 Jan 2011.
