Is there a Repository for models & metadata? [message #63391]

Clearly for separate tools to interchange metadata / models they have to
understand each others persistent data - i.e. they need a shared
repository or at least a common interface specification. Example - OMG's
CWM for data models, etc.

I've searched the up front Eclipse pages and done a Search for
'repository' but don't see anything relevant. Is there a common repository
definition or similar somewhere?
