Will the server-side stuff be out of incubation for 3.2? [message #62551] Thu, 23 February 2006 14:08 Go to next message

I asked this question on the development mailing list, but realized this
morning that that may not have been the appropriate place. I apologize
for polluting that list.

I've spent some time recently trying to get my head around OSGi. We are
especially interested in the server-bridge as a means for reorganizing
our current server installation. Is there any chance that the servlet
bridge functionality will be promoted out of incubation in the 3.2
timeframe? If not, is there any idea when it might be promoted? It
seems that it is relatively stable, but it is going to be easier to
"sell" around here if it is not in incubation.

I've been doing Eclipse development for a long time now, but I'm really
excited about the OSGi stuff. Keep up the good work.

Thanks,
Craig
