Open .php in Eclipse/PDT [message #62400] Fri, 07 December 2007 19:28 Go to next message

Is it possible to open .php files in eclipse/PDT. I have both installed
and things work great. The problem however is that I changed the open
behavior of .php files in KDE from Zend to Eclipse and when I click a
..php file eclipse opens but the file is not loaded.

I know that you are supposed to create projects in eclipse and open
files that way, but I have lots of PHP files and sometimes I just want
to quickly view one with syntax highlighting etc...

I have tried eclipse filename.php to no avail. Is there an option I am
missing or is this not possible?

TIA,
-Shawn

No currently you can't do this. I believe there is an open bug request
with the eclipse platform to allow this type of behavior. Might want to
search bugs.eclipse.org/bugs to see if they have something, if not,
enter a bug for it.
