Hi folks,
Has anyone had any luck binding a dataset parameter to a report parameter.
I have followed the documentation to a t but no luck. Basically I enter a
value in the dialog window (report param value) but this value never makes
it into my query for some reason?

Can anyone help, I noticed that one user said that this functionality was
buggy. I'm hoping this can work somehow, any ideas?

Thanks,
Simon

Thanks Nina.

I actually managed to get it working. My dataset parameters are:
Data Type: Integer
Default Value: 0
Allows Null: No
Optional: No

My corresponding report parameters are:
Data Type: Float
Formatting: Custom, fixed number #0

This works from eclipse when I run it in BIRT Web Viewer. And the params
are entered through the left frame in the viewer. I haven't tried passing
the params in URL string from my webpage yet though.

Hey guys,

i have the similar problem and here are the parameters i created

ParamMonth which is data/time datatype and in the Report table it is also
date/time but from the front end user it will come as "MAY". I dont
understand which default value to give.i tried '%' , ' MMM', 'MMM/yy', as
per my requirement.
